Wastewater

The City’s Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is housed within the Wastewater Division of the Public Works Department and serves the community through collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater.

The Visalia WRF currently treats an average of about 13 million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. The WRF uses a combination of membrane bioreactor (MBR) filtration technology and ultra-violet disinfection to remove greater than 99% of traditional pollutants and produce treated water that is suitable for landscaping and agricultural purposes. The division's staff are committed to customer service, safety and providing high-quality services to the public.

Water Conservation

The Water Conservation Division conducts enforcement of the Water Conservation Ordinance and provides educational outreach to assist residents in their conservation efforts.
